Well, here's how the past month has gone for us:
We drove straight to St. Louis, MO the day after the wedding (losing a wheel cover on the way), and spent a fantastic week there. I highly recommend going to Fitz's Bottling Company there (great burgers, fries, root beer, and root beer floats), as well as the street with all the international cuisine restaurants (we had Ethiopian and Japanese). The zoo is always a win there, as it is free admission. The Missouri Botanical Gardens are pretty impressive. I also recommend going up in the arch and going on the ferry dinner cruise right down the hill from the arch.
Upon our return to Stillwater, OK, we stopped at Meramec Caverns in Stanton, MO. Pretty impressive, but I'm a little biased as I love caves. When we got back to Stillwater, we immediately opened all our gifts (THANK YOU!). Davis was tired, but I was determined.
The weeks since then have been pretty uneventful. Davis and I have been preparing to go teach in China in September. We are going to Hangzhou ("Hong-zho"), which is about an hour south and slightly west of Shanghai (pronounced "Shong-high"). We are both so excited and just ready to be there! On the flip side, that doesn't come without also being sad to leave our family and friends, and me sad to leave my rabbit. :( I know though, that our Father will do great things through us while we are in Hangzhou. Opportunities abound.
In other minor news, VBS is this week, so Davis and I have been helping out with that. Davis has been acting as a judge in one skit, and I had my go at being a narrator last night. Kids are fun. One kid, Wiley (2), calls it BBS. It reminds me of when my youngest sister Hunter used to pronounce her V's like a B: bacuum, bulture, berry, Debil's Den, etc.
Finally, here are a couple pictures of our apartment together!
